Though I live in Idaho today, my roots are in Texas and Alaska.
The Barber family has a long history of living on the frontier--from
Maryland to Louisiana at the time of the Louisiana Purchase, to
east Texas for the Revolution, to west Texas with the earliest
settlers, to northern Idaho to escape the dust bowl, then to Alaska
